It's a limited edition red version of The Botan Tarot to celebrate the Lunar New Year, with subtle gold details on a vibrant red box to resemble the lacquer dishes Artist's (Addi Miyako) family uses for new year celebrations, and a deep red edge color inspired by akane dye (a nod to the original indigo edges of Botan, both being popular dye colors in traditional Japanese textiles).
What is the same?
The main artwork is the same, as are the inner pages of the simple guidebook.
What is different?
The box design, card back design, and outer cover of the guidebook have been updated for this version. The paper has been updated to 330gsm German Black Core, with a Poker Oil coating and linen finish. This makes the cards slightly smoother and glossier than the original version, but still just as durable.
